About Us Choice Mission Statement About Choice Choice Martial Arts was founded with the goal of aspiring to make a difference in the martial arts community. Our mission is to merge the creativity and character of each individual with the traditional aspects of the martial arts. Through our enthusiasm and devotion to our students, we continually strive towards developing methods of instruction that are unique to the success of each individual and their personal goals, both inside the dojo and in their everyday lives. Choice Martial Arts was established in June 2001 and offers professional martial arts instruction for men, women, teens and children in Kenpo Karate & Grappling, with specialty fitness courses in Cardio-kickboxing, Body Shaping and Zumba. Headquarters for Choice Martial Arts are located in Everett, Massachusetts. Our goal is to provide quality training that will help guide our students in becoming more positive, productive and balanced individuals in all aspects of their lives by: * Providing a safe training environment. * Developing a moral code of conduct. * Teaching effective "reality" self-defense. * Offering a friendly, professional staff. * Acting as a positive force in our community.                       "CHOICE" Instructor Profiles Shihan Cheryl Campo Cheryl Campo is the Senior Instructor of CHOICE Martial Arts. Shihan Cheryl has been training in the martial arts since 1993 and currently holds the rank of Rokudan, 6th degree black belt. Shihan Cheryl took an interest in sport competition while training under Professor Rocky DiRico back in 1996. She has since then competed in local, national and international tournament circuits which include KRANE, NASKA, World Kenpo/Kempo Federation, ISKA & NAGA. Shihan Cheryl has won numerous State and National Titles in weapons, forms and fighting over the years (see left). She continues to further her knowledge and train in Kenpo karate, MMA, grappling and various other martial arts disciplines. * Promoted to 6th Degree Black Belt by the International Kenpo Council of Grandmasters in Rhode Island on May 21, 2011. * Promoted to the rank of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) and awarded the title of Shihan from Professor Bob Lynn on May 1, 2011. * Awarded the title of Renshi from Professor Bob Lynn on January 17, 2011. * Inducted 2006 - International Federation of Ju Jutsuans, Legion of Honor Award * October 2004-Inducted into the WMAF Black belt Hall of Fame, Female Martial Artist of the Year * April 2004-Inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame, Female Kempo Instructor of the Year * Shihan Cheryl is the Co-Vice President on the Executive Board of the World Martial Arts Federation. As a Reiki Master and in keeping with true Japanese martial arts tradition, Shihan Cheryl is "practicing and teaching" healing arts practitioner. Reiki refers to Usui Shiki Ryoho translated as: "Usui method of natural healing". This method has been known in Japan since the late 1860's and was brought to the U.S. in the 1930's. Reiki is a gentle, hands-on healing technique used to reduce stress, relieve pain and facilitate healing. Shihan Cheryl is also a Clinical Hypnotherapist working with individuals and/or groups. Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of relaxation which enables us to receive positive suggestions beneficial for overall health & well being.   Sensei Glenn Nadeau Sensei Glenn Nadeau is a third degree Black belt Instructor at CHOICE Martial Arts. He has been with CHOICE since its opening in 2001 and has become an integral part of the CHOICE family. Sensei Glenn has been training in the martial arts for more than 15 years with extensive experience in both sport karate and self-defense. He is currently attending UMASS Boston as an Honors Nursing Student. Sensei Glenn is also a Reiki II practitioner in the Usui Method of Natural Healing. Sensei Michael Campo Sensei Michael Campo is a first degree Black belt Instructor at CHOICE Martial Arts. He has been with CHOICE since 2007 and is currently employed by the USPS. Sensei Igor Carvalho Sensei Igor Carvalho is a first degree Black belt Assistant Instructor at CHOICE Martial Arts. He has been with CHOICE since 2007 and is currently a full-time student. Sensei Igor has been assisting with the Youth classes for the past year and is an excellent role model for the younger students.   Linda Monaco, Fitness Instructor Linda Monaco is a Fitness Instructor here at CHOICE Martial Arts. Linda has been with CHOICE since 2006 and is currently certified to teach both Flex & Tone and Cardio-Kickboxing classes. In June of 2011 Linda also began training at CHOICE in Kenpo Karate with the hopes of one day achieving her Black Belt.   Choice Martial Arts 2010
